- 1 ground beef
- 1/2 onion chopped
- 1 package mushrooms
- 1 package egg noodles
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 6 oz sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
Prepare noodles as directed. Fry beef, onion, and mushrooms in skillet until brown. Add soup and milk bring to simmer until thickened. Remove from heat, stir in sour cream. Drain noodles .
Huh! This isn’t how I make this at all…
I saute a clove or two of garlic with the onion first, then add in the beef and brown it. Add a little salt and pepper here.
When that’s ready, add in the mushrooms (1 lb, I think) milk, and some cream (no cream of mushroom soup at all) plus a little more salt and pepper to taste. Let it simmer away until it turns that pretty light brown color and has thickened up a little.
Then remove from heat, add the sour cream, and serve over the noodles (wide egg noodles – cooked).
